2015 EICMA Highlights

EICMA 2015, The Milan Motorcycle Show brought a lot of excitement from various bike manufacturers around the world. 
Manufacturers like Ducati, Honda and Yamaha were among the first ones to reveal the secrets pending on their side. New additions from the last few days took the total count of motorcycles to 60, including brand new, updated and concept products in a single list. The motorcycles at the event are listed below.

1) 2016 KTM RC390
The all time favorite lightweight sportbike gets a host of additions to its 2016 avatar. The bike gets a neat and good looking exhaust in place of an underbelly unit. The new additions include bigger 320 mm disc at the front, bigger rear view mirrors and slipper clutch. The switchable ABS and Ride-by-Wire technology makes it the most feature loaded motorcycle of its segment.

2) Benelli Tornado 302
The naked TNT 302 (TNT 300 for India) gets a full set of new clothes, making it look like a serious race bike of 2016. The bike is first of its kind in Benelli lineup and measures 2,157 mm in length, 746 mm in width and 1,146 mm in height. The best part of all, it is India bound by most probably getting the name Tornado 300.

3) Yamaha MT-10
The leader of the MT series, MT-10 has been revealed as a R1 based street fighter, using aluminum deltabox frame and 1400 mm of short wheelbase. The brakes, suspension, cruise control, slipper clutch and most of the mechanicals are R1 derived.

4) Ducati Scrambler Sixty2
The newcomer was expected to be named as the Scrambler 400. The smallest production engine from Ducati, a 399cc desmodromic air-cooled engine has been planted to its roots. The baby Scrambler produces 41 HP and gets a low 167 kg of dry weight. It has been priced at £6,450.


5) KTM 1290 Super Duke GT
One of the most awaited KTM, the Super Duke GT has finally been unveiled at the EICMA 2015. The bike comes with advanced list of features including lean angle sensitive ABS and traction control, ride modes, cruise control, quick shifter and a powerful 173 BHP engine. It comes loaded with tyre pressure monitoring system, heated grips, LED cornering lights and many more options when considering its touring ability. The self adjusting WP suspension is the best available on KTM superbikes.


6) KTM 1290 Super Duke R Special Edition
KTM also introduced a special edition to its flagship naked street motorcycle, the Super Duke R. It gets a 1.5 kg lighter exhaust, adjustable brake and clutch levers, wavey disc brakes and Galvano Orange theme on White base shade.


7) Ducati XDiavel
The most important high end product from the company was teased through a video few days ago. The Diavel has transformed into a cruiser motorcycle with a Testastretta 1262 cc V-twin engine supporting Belt Drive. The bike offers a silent ride with its belt driven structure and an exciting 41 degree lean angle. It pushes all of its available torque at 5000 rpm, making every ride an exciting experience. The beast would cost around £15,795.


8) Ducati Panigale 959
The new Ducati Panigale 959 is a humble replacement to the Panigale 899. The 955cc motor on the newcomer is good for 157 HP and gets bigger air intakes, a bit sharpened design and slipper clutch. It will cost £13,095.


9) Benelli TRK 502
The off-road adventure offering from Benelli comes with in-line, 2-cylinder 499.6cc engine producing 47.6 HP and 45 NM of torque. The front suspension is thick, 50 mm USD forks whereas the rear uses a swingarm type for the suspension duties. The ground clearance is 230 mm and fuel tank offers 20 liters of fuel at a single refill. The most interesting fact being that the machine is India bound and may come with the name ' TRK 500' as a CKD product.

10) Benelli Leoncino Scrambler
The scrambler from Benelli looks very attractive from every angle and gets 19 inch wheel for the front and 17 inch for the rear. It comes with the same 499.6 cc engine as the TRK 502/500. It comes with flat seat and handlebar, enhancing its retro looks. It is expected to be bought through the CKD route and may cost around INR 4.5 lakh.



11) Yamaha XSR900
The MT-09 gets a custom look from Yamaha, presented currently as the XSR900. The aluminium frame and 850cc engine makes it the best retro choice of motorcycle from the available list in the industry. It gets slipper clutch, traction control and 3 riding modes for better performance. The price for the same starts from £7,849.


12) Yamaha MT-03
The naked performance version for the 321 cc, 2-cylinder engine finally gets officially unveiled. The bike gets the same aluminum frame and an upright seating position. The seat height of 780 mm is the most attractive part of all.

13) 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000
The lightest and most powerful bike from its lineup, the Suzuki Concept GSX-R1000 would make its way into the market after the first half of 2016.


14) UM Renegade Sport S
One of the most awaited product into the Indian market, Renegade Sport S was introduced by the company at EICMA 2015. The bike uses a 279 cc water-cooled, 1-cylinder, fuel injected engine producing 26.6 PS @ 8,600 rpm and 22.76 Nm @ 6,300 rpm. It uses a single disc brake on front and would be displayed in India at the Auto Expo 2016.

15) KTM 690 Duke
The fifth generation of 690 Duke gets a more powerful and refined motor, measuring same in displacement measures.

16) KTM 690 Duke R
The KTM 690 Duke R gets Motorcycle Stability Control, lean angle sensitive traction control, cornering ABS and many more visual changes than a standard 690 Duke.

17) 2016 Triumph Tiger Explorer
The 2016 Tiger Explorer is being offered in 6 trims. They have been named as XC, XCx, XCa, XR, XRx and XRt. The models vary by the list of features and electronic packages. XR denotes the road versions whereas XC are fully off-road oriented models of the new Tiger. The 1215 cc engine used on all the variants is an excellent and powerful option over the existing 800 series Triumph Tiger.

18) Ducati Scrambler 800 Flat Track Pro
Ducati also unveiled a Flat Track Pro version of its Scrambler 800. The bike gets new exhaust system and CNC machined parts whereas the engine remains the same 803cc, 75 HP motor. It has been priced at £8,995.
19) Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro
The Multistrada 1200 Enduro comes with pure off-road experience through its 19 inch front wheel, 205 mm of ground clearance and 30 liters of fuel tank. The front and rear gets 200 mm of suspension travel for easier off-road riding. It comes with a tag of £16,690.


20) Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak
Ducati also unveiled a special version named Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak with additions like alloy wheels, red chassis, carbon fiber inserts and Red stitched seats. The version pays its gratitude to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race.


21) Ducati Hypermotard 939
Ducati has unveiled a new set of Hypermotard motorcycles with a new and improved 937cc, 2-cylinder engine producing 113 HP. The Hypermotard 939 comes with a tag of £9,995.


22) Ducati Hypermotard 939 SP
The SP version gets lighter parts with a longer wheelbase and higher seat height. It even gets interesting colors on the body and a £12,595 price tag. The SP version can be distinguished with its dual tone body shade and a different alloy design.


23) Ducati Hyperstrada 939
The Hyperstrada uses the same 937cc engine and comes in iconic Ducati Red shade with Grey underpinnings. It comes with a windshield, two 12V power sockets, 50 liter removable bag, wider saddle and many more comfort enhancing features. It gets a price tag of £11,195.


24) Suzuki SV650
The 645cc, V-twin machine gets 60 new parts for a refined output than the Gladius engine. It even gets 76 Hp whereas the former had only 71 HP from the same. The weight is also said to be 187 kg with ABS, making it 8 kg lighter than SFV650 Gladius.


25) Suzuki RV200 VanVan
The RV200 from Suzuki looks more like a baby Scrambler, possessing the same thick wheels on a small body. The seat seems to be extra stretched to the front, covering nearly half of the fuel tank. Seat height remains low at 770 mm and weight comes out to be 128 kg.


26) Hyosung GD450
The newest middleweight streetfighter from the company, the GD450 is a sharp edged bike with a 450cc single cylinder engine. The motor is good for 49 BHP and 47.7 NM of torque. The bike is just 145 kg in weight and definitely a challenging and more powerful opponent to the Duke 390.

27) Hyosung GV300
Getting its best in all the bike segments, Hyosung also presented a new cruiser named GV300 at EICMA 2015. The bike is powered by a 275 cc, V-twin engine producing 26 BHP and 23.5 NM of torque. The gearbox being used here is a 5-speed manual unit.

28) Benelli Tornado Naked T
The youngest street fighter to the Benelli lineup comes with two engine options, 125cc and 135cc. The smaller one produces 11.7 BHP and 10 NM whereas the 135cc version produces 12.6 BHP and 10.8 NM of torque. The 12 inch wheels of the bike comes with wide tyres and a disc brake for each wheel.

29) MV Agusta Brutale 800
The Euro 4 compliant engine of the updated Brutale delivers 116 HP and comes with features like electronic quick shifter, hydraulic operated slipper clutch and eight way traction control system. According to MV Agusta, the redesigned Brutale 800 is the most beautiful Brutale ever.

30) Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer
An all new 850cc, V-twin powers the new casually designed V9 Roamer.

31) Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber
V9 Bobber gets a dark approach with thick tyres and Matt Black body shade. It uses the same motor as the V9 Roamer.

32) Moto Guzzi V7 II
The V7 II gets the same old 744cc V-twin motor from Moto Guzzi.

33) Moto Guzzi MGX-21 Flying Fortress
The Flying Fortress uses a 1380c air-cooled V-twin engine for a powerful riding experience. The huge matted bike is a sure shot head turner.

34) Kawasaki J125
The all new J125 is the first 125cc scooter from Kawasaki. The engine produces 13.8 HP and the scooter weighs around 182 kg.


35) Kawasaki ZX-10R Winter Edition
The limited edition ZX-10R comes in all black shade and a custom exhaust system.

36) Kawasaki Z1000 Sugomi Edition
The Sugomi Edition Z1000 gets a lighter exhaust and dual tone body shade highlighting its suspension and tail light.

37) Kawasaki Z800 Sugomi Edition
The Z800 also comes with the same changes as on the Z1000 Sugomi Edition.

38) Yamaha WR 450F
Yamaha introduced its all new WR450F in two different version, Rally and Enduro. The bike gets the underpinnings from YZ450F and comes with 450cc, reverse cylinder engine.


39) Piaggio Medley
Piaggio has introduced an all new scooter at the EICMA 2015. Named as Medley, the scooter is expected to get a liquid cooled iGet engine from the company. The scooter would also get ABS, DRL's and immobilizer as a security option.

40) 2016 Piaggio Liberty
The other one is the updated 2016 Liberty scooter from Piaggio. It gets a new 150 cc variant and comes with improved design for increased underseat space.

41) Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin
Honda revealed its entire international lineup at the EICMA 2015, including the CRF1000L Africa Twin.

42) 2016 Honda CB500F
The street fighter finally comes with the much needed improvements in its outer design.

43) 2016 Honda CB500R
The newcomer looks sharp and much better than its predecessor. It comes with refined power values and more kilometers with its improved mileage.
44) 2016 Honda CB500X
The touring DNA of the 2-cylinder 500cc machine is seen clearly in the updated CB500X.

45) 2016 Honda NC750X
The urban street fighter gets catchy Red inserts into its shining body paint. The low seat height favors short riders too.

46) Honda Integra
Integra pushes the power of a sport motorcycle to the convenience of an everyday scooter.
47) Aprilia RSV4 'Factory Works' Version
The Factory Works version gets updated suspension and a V4-MP software as standard. The bike is purely track focused.

48) BMW R nineT Scrambler
The 1170 cc, 2-cylinder engine from BMW is good for 110HP and comes with a bodyweight of 220 kg.

49) Indian Scout Sixty
The £8,999 Scout Sixty is the most affordable motorcycle in its lineup. The Sixty is about £1,500 cheaper than the ongoing Scout model.


50) Hyosung GT300R
The all new Hyosung GT300R comes with improved styling and more sharpness than the current 250cc GT250R. The motorcycle produces 27.62 BHP @ 10,500 rpm and 23.5 NM @ 7,000 rpm from its twin cylinder 275 cc engine.

51) Energica Eva
Energica showcased its incomplete Eva at the EICMA 2014, which has now evolved into a fully functional model at the current EICMA. It gets a 95HP electric motor and can go 124 miles on a single charge.

52) Bimota Tesi 3D RaceCafe1
The oddly designed motorcycle from Bimota comes with a different front face setup than a traditional motorcycle. It gets a 803 cc engine and weighs just 165 kg.

53) Bimota Impeto1
The exclusive motorcycle from Bimota gets an optional supercharger, increasing the power figure to 190 HP. The 1198cc motorcycle weighs just 177 kg.


54) 2016 MV Agusta Dragster RR Lewis Hamilton
The bike pays homage to the reigning Formula 1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton. It comes with the number 44 badge and seems to be a collectible edition for the MV Agusta Dragster.
55) Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 Concept
The new Concept from Husqvarna remains more attached to the riding pleasure instead of more and more additions to its outer beauty. It comes with a 690cc, single cylinder engine for a hassle free drive. The bike focuses on functionality, simplicity and practicality.

56) Kawasaki Soul Charger Concept
Much like its SC-01, the new Soul Charger Concept SC-02 is a more muscular and advanced machine from the company.

57) Honda City Adventure Concept
The City Adventure signifies the use of a product for both the worlds under the same body. The concept seems to be a comfortable city riding machine with the off-road DNA for free time adventures.

58) Victory Ignition Concept
The concept is basically a sporty cruiser with dark appeal all around its body.

59) Honda Six50 Concept
The Six50 gets off-road tyres with thick treads and a camouflage inspired paint all around its body. The oddly shaped headlamp looks attractive to the design.
60) Honda CB4 Concept
The muscular CB4 concept is a based on CB650F and comes with a newly designed exhaust and short rear end. It mixes vintage styling to the modern technology through its feature rich approach.
