Its the bike that I have been eagerly waiting for. First it was thought that the R25 would be launched in our market but it seems that the officals will be launching its elder sister the R3. There is not much difference between the two and its almost impossible to spot any difference except for the engine displacement which is 249cc & 321cc respectively. Yamaha R3 is expected to launch on August and will be a serious contender for the long reigning Kawasaki Ninja 300 which has been ruling the quatre litre segment for over a decade now.
Yamaha took the wraps off it’s new low-capacity supersports model, the YZF-R3, at EICMA in November this year. In essence, the bike is a slightly more powerful sister of the the R25 and hence, is to the donor model what the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is to the Ninja 250. The R3 went on sale in the international market in April 2015 and has been receiving rave reviews from both media and enthusiasts.
Will R3 overthrow the Kawasaki Ninja from its throne or will the new challenger loose against the Ninja, let me know about your opinions in the comments below.
